Ecoranch is building the first energy neutral theme park in the world.
Ecoranch: A theme park for new energy
De Peel is a unique national park in the Southern Netherlands, on the border between Limburg and Noord-Brabant, where peat moors, woodlands and heathfields lend almost un-Dutch colour and majesty to the landscape.
It is a region whose praises have been sung by the Dutch band, Rowwen Hèze, and is a firm favourite among ramblers and nature lovers, being internationally renowned for its flora and fauna, in particular its wealth of feathered friends, bats, dragonflies and butterflies.
In the midst of this unspoiled countryside, EcoRanch is developing a very special theme park: Uitspanning Zonnedauw. A theme park where you can truly relax, resting assured that everything possible has been done to put as little burden as possible on the environment. A park where guests come, first and foremost, for a holiday, but at the same time experience how simple it is to build sustainably and to make use of the sun, wind and earth’s warmth as natural sources of energy.
The location, means of construction and philosophy make Zonnedauw not only a very special theme park but also a unique showcase for companies and organisations who believe in sustainable development. A park which gives new energy, in many different ways.
